Cloth, Wrap, wallpaper and such

Hello fish art fans :0)

I have started to scientifically analyze my pile of fish drawings and field them 30 at a time to my spoonflower presence at https://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/combatfish so anyone can buy them on wallpaper, cloth for clothing and decor, and wrapping paper (which can also end up as many decor items and projects).

Latest adds include: Mekong giant catfish, mosasaurs, anglerfish, cod, hake, dunkleosteus, oarfish,
coelacanth
and one of my favorite fossil fish the
Xiphactinus audax
xiphactinus audax (too bad it is extinct, would have been a VERY interesting catch!) among several others.  Look for multiple versions, sizes, and abstractions of each species available in my store to add variety. Likely I will have a shirt and towels made of some of them.   My nieces and nephews like the wrapping paper, since the chop out each fish to use in play or to stick in scrap books and collages.

Later and fair seas,

Giant Carp (aka Giant Barb)
Drew up a monster river fish from Southeast Asia I have wanted to do for a while: the Giant Carp also known as the Giant Barb. (scientifically (Catlocarpio siamensis) ). It is a endangered fish that gets to over 600lbs (300kg) and like grass carp lacks barbs, though has the typical coarse scales of most minnows (i.e. barbs and carps).  A full grown fish from Thailand or Cambodia would be as big as a motorcycle or subcompact car.

Upgrades

I redrew several fish over the break, including a redo of the Northern Pike, Muskellunge (Muskie) and Flag (Festivus) Cichlid (for Festivus of course LOL :0)
Look for more as time passes.
For those who missed it, I also drew up a Cymbospondulus sea going dinosaur a while back.

Check the master catalog for updates to catch the latest.  Look for a few new books in 2019 too, including a kid's fish identification book.
Later,
Bryce

New Cloth, wallpaper, and wrapping paper designs!

New cloth, wallpaper, and wrapping paper designs are out in time for whatever holidays you celebrate!

Look on spoonflower: https://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/combatfish for all the latest!
You will now find a battle of prehistoric toothy  sea monsters (Elsmosaurs, Mosasaurs, and Lipleurodons among others) , peacock basses of the Amazon, patterns of dolphins and whales, and the monster river catfish from the Ganges: the Goonch.
I get asked all the time if you can buy cloth from Spoonflower, then craft it into clothes or decor to sell...the answer is of course you can!  Obviously, if you buy lots of my cloth or wallpaper or gift wrap patterns, I get more royalties from Spoonflower. So buy my cloth patterns by the pound from Spoonflower, and use your creativity to your hearts' and wallets' content with what you buy.  Let me know if you are successful, just for curiosity's sake, and let me know any requests for new designs to draw.

Tight lines, calm seas, and stars in the sky,
Bryce

Sea Monsters and Space Pups

Added two more sea monsters from the cretaceous: Elasmosaurus and Ichthyosaurs. Elasmosaurs look lots like the classic Loch Ness Monster, while Ichthyosaurs look alot like dolphins. I also gen'd up a battle scene between the Liopleurodon (Jurassic Period), Elasmosaurus (Cretaceous Period), Mosasaur (Cretaceous Period), and Xiphactinus (Cretaceous Period).  Needless to say, coloration is my best guess, using fossils to get the shape.

On a much more light-hearted tone, I also draw up a space puppy cartoon with a rat terrier in a space suit (with cool boots too).

Remember, my Master Catalog has all the art I have generated over the years, in  a mobile friendly format.

Later and happy shopping!

Fishes, Space, and Apollo art into Fall

Hello all my art fans!
Finished up kids books last springs (Madison's African Rivers and Charlotte's Arctic Ocean) then got pulled into all my space farm papers and presentations.  However, did take time to draw more fish, and some abstract designs, and flesh out a Design By Humans site on top of adding to my Cafepress sites and Spoonflower/Sprout/Roostery patterns.   The spoonflower patterns (especially the ones with sharks) are very popular, and cafe press is popular too, but for a wide swath of species. I added a much better run at the peacock bass cichlids of South America, in DBH and Cafe Press (four species to be exact, including Spotted, Royal, Butterfly, and Tucunare)  and plan over time to upgrade various species, and added more African and Asian species.
I also added a few spacey designs, like this one in spoonflower and this one in Design by Humans, and another science space drawing to show the route of Apollo 11 in commemoration of the 49th and upcoming 50th Apollo mission anniversaries.
Later, Tight Lines, and Explore!

Finished up Charlotte's Arctic Ocean, including a swath of Arctic animals including polar bears (in many poses, including babies), arctic fox, walrus, narwhals, beluga whales, ribbon seals, hooded seals, harp seals (and yes, baby harp seals), halibut, Greenland sharks, arctic char, puffins, little auks, and others. Also draw the same designs into Spoonflower and Cafepress patterns.  Switching over to finish Madison's African Rivers, and mostly wrapped up the fish (on Cafepress too) and now doing the mammals and reptiles in prep for assembly. Like the Amazon, the Congo and Nile have lots of Cichlids and Caracins, but Africa also has elephant fish, in a variety of odd shapes. Unlike fish, mammals and reptiles require many poses to be believable.

More later,
Bryce
